What you type into the tool
The year, mileage and price of your listing are only used to calculate the report, directly in your browser. They are kept neither by Branché nor by the statistics tool. Only the model you look at is counted, anonymously, in the statistics (see below).
This information appears in the page address, so you can share or find your report again. If you send this link to someone, they will see the same information. Like any web address, it may also appear in the host's technical logs (see below).
Visit statistics
To know how many people use the site and which reports are most useful, Branché uses Umami, a statistics tool without cookies. It anonymously counts page views, country, device type, the site you came from, and a few actions: report viewed (model and version), comparison, link shared, price verdict category.
Umami sets no cookies and doesn't follow you from site to site. Your listing details (year, mileage, price) are never sent to it. To find out more, see Umami's privacy policy.
Cookies, advertising and affiliate links
Today, Branché uses no cookies. That's why there's no banner to accept.
The site may show advertising and affiliate links to partner sites. When you click an affiliate link, the partner site knows you came from Branché. If an ad network or a partner ever needs cookies, we will ask for your consent first, and this page will be updated with the list of partners.
Hosting
Like any website, Branché is stored with a host (Netlify). To run and protect the site, the host keeps technical logs: IP address, page requested, date and time, browser type. Branché doesn't use them to track you.
Links to other sites
Reports sometimes link to other sites, such as Car-Pass. Once on those sites, their own privacy rules apply.
Your rights
Branché keeps no data that could identify you: so there's nothing to view, correct or delete on our side. For any question, write to us at branchetavoiture@gmail.com.
If you feel your data is not being respected, you can contact the Data Protection Authority, the competent Belgian authority.
